Northmann is an expert based investment and project finance firm.
Edmond has a total of 36 years management experience at senior corporate level, serving in Africa and the United Kingdom; of which:
10 years in Accounting and Auditing, 15 years in project finance structuring, sovereign and commercial debt restructuring and export trade finance, 20 years in entrepreneurial and senior management, serving on various boards in Zambia and the United Kingdom.
Edmond worked for then Coopers and Lybrand and the then Century Holdings Group of Companies as Group Chief Internal Auditor, before going
into commercial market and served on a number of corporate boards as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. He migrated to the United Kingdom and served as director and Associate in export trade and private equity and fund management firm in the city.
He holds a degree in Economics, ICSA and ACCA from Southwest London College of Accountancy and Faculty of Secretaries from Guildford Business College, Surrey, England.Edmond returned to Zambia in 2008, to lead a Nine Million Dollar investment in the Copper Contract Mining space on a four year contract, on behalf of a foreign consortium, starting the company from inception. Mr. Chisanga worked as advisor / consultant to the Government of Zambia (Ministry of Finance 2009 to 2011), in the development of the Public Private Partnership Program and specific to the Toll Roads Development.
Specific to Corporate advisory, corporate restructuring, due diligence, business plans, business strategy and fundraising, Edmond has lead and participated in the various programs.
Philip has over 20 years of experience in various disciplines as from 1997 and itemised below:
1) Investment banker- Corporate Finance.
2) Investment banker –Agribusiness.
3) Structured trade finance.
4) Financial reconstruction and project finance.
He has hands on skills in investment banking, deal structuring, structured trade finance as well as corporate banking , at very senior levels in various organizations which include Standard Chartered Bank, ADC Capital, Metbank Limited, serving in most Southern and East Africa countries which include
Zimbabwe, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, Satchels, Kenya and Tanzania.
Philip holds a Bachelor’s Degree of Commerce in Accounting from the National University of Science and Technology (NUST), a Master’s Degree in Agribusiness Management from the University of Pretoria and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Zimbabwe.
He also holds various certifications: a Certified Lender, Trade Finance Specialist, Certified Risk
Manager, and Project Specialist.
Presently, he is the Projects Director for Northmann Capital responsible for deal structuring, trade finance and project financing.
Dennis has over 20 years of experience in agricultural development, and more than 6 years in consultancy on agricultural projects. He has worked as a senior agricultural consultant and as horticulturist for different companies in South and Central America, Southern and Eastern Africa, the Middle East and Asia. He has managed several projects in conjunction with the Dutch and the European commercial sectors and served as project director for government sponsored and financed projects under the Program Support Emerging Markets by the EVD. He holds a Masters’ degree in Tropical Agricultural Development, University of Reading.
His extensive experience in agricultural projects will be key for this transaction.
